Jesus did appear to me as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords… There was a presence in the room that couldn’t have been anybody but Jesus… Jesus put his hand on me. It was a physical thing. I felt it. I felt it all over me. I felt my whole body tremble. The glory of the Lord knocked me down and picked me up.

My name is James Hartley, and i'm a musician from Nottingham, England.
A few years ago i met Jesus and He changed my whole life… i mean, everything. A was in a bad way at the time, but He told me He made me for a purpose, that He had a plan for my life & asked me if i would trust Him. I knew in my heart this was very real so gave over control of my life to Him, but was so eager to get stuck into doing all Jesus made me for, i didn't realise He would need to work on me for a little while first !! He started to open up my heart and one by one, take out all the things that were hurting me & holding me back. Amazingly, 9 years on He's still finding more than i ever realised was bad inside me, but i see so much more clearly these days. Life is full of stuff that'll hold you back, pull you aside and take you down… but Jesus came to set us free, and now i am free indeed. All those things don't have the same hooks in me anymore and i'm a much more solid & positive person. And for the first time ever, i can actually say that i love myself.
I'm glad i don't have to do life on my own anymore, because to say "I don't need anyone" only shows you've been hurt too many times before. To say "I don't need Jesus" just means you haven't met Him. If you know there is something missing from your life. If you want to know what i'm talking about, it's easy… just ask Him… Simply say "Jesus, i want to know You. Please come into my heart". He's a gentleman so He needs inviting, but once you have done... your life will never be the same. God bless you.. J :)
